The Sutta Company | 1221 3rd Street, Oakland, CA

We offer creative recycling solutions for large volume generators of scrap paper, plastic, and metals. At this site we have a MacPresse baler capable of baling 60 tons per hour. This Oakland facility is the largest dedicated wastepaper plant in terms of processed volume north of Los Angles in the Western United States. The Sutta Company is the second largest independently owned recycling plant in North America, and we employ 46 people in order to ensure that all of our business is done efficiently and professionally.

Our plant is located one mile from the port of Oakland, providing easy access for overseas shipment.

The Sutta Company is involved in the wastepaper business in China, Thailand, The Philippines, Korea, and India, where we sell scrap materials to mills for repulping and reuse as cardboard, newspaper, and tissue products.

We are currently providing unique solutions for Proctor and Gamble, International Paper, United Airlines, and Media Group Newspapers (including The Sacramento Bee, The Oakland Tribune, and The San Mateo Times).

The Sutta Company’s Oakland facility is the most modern, lowest cost operating facility in the Western United States, and we are an industry leader in our ability to create custom design recycling systems.
